Rebelles (Rebels)
“Rebelles”, as a rebel is wood; an alive, strong and dynamic material that opposes its coriaceous nodes and its sinuous veins to every kind of standard work, preserving its imperfect shapes, its natural flaws, defects that become quality details. It adapts, in some way, to the requirements of those who shape the new styles, exploiting a combination of technology and manual work that are combined with a specific compromise; a compromise that does not obscure the craftsmanship of the final product.
“Rebelles”, as a rebel is the soul of the artisan, the same artisan who reacted and rejected the idea of abandoning his own land, affirming his identity and his belonging to a place. Everything revolves around a specific dream: to shape and create, one by one, unique items as a consequence of the passion for design that meets creativity.
“Rebelles”, as a willful and impudent idea of proposing an interpretation of Sardinia in a home environment through different perspectives. The same idea is based on the creation of wooden objects to be associated with the technology: lamps, computer supports, stereo columns, portable hi-fi systems and much more are examples of final products.
Simple and complex shapes, combined with resistant finishes, characterize the product; yet the origin of the material, mainly local, the attention to detail and the quality of the mechanical and electronic parts improve the combination above mentioned.
When the feelings for your own land are deeply stuck in your soul, you always find a reason to stay. It is an intimate and survival matter. All this in an island that preserves, in its being part of the temporal path, its being an island. Rebel.
